Raise a grievance (one of the students has reported that update was done within 24-48 hours of raising grievance)
If above does not work, there's another approach which involves a bit of emailing (contributed by Sheetal Khanna '22 batch IHE)
Write a mail to your RC (for RC2/LHMC email: rcd2ssc@ignou.ac.in):
"Kindly change my Regional center to RC1 in my profile."
Write your name, Programme MSCCFT and Enrolment Number.
You will receive a mail like this:
Click on the link given in the mail and check your profile. It will show in red - last column will show under processing at RC1.
Mail to RC1 @ admnsecrc1@ignou.ac.in to accept the changes done by your RC.
FINALLY, You will receive a mail from RC1 with a screen shot of your profile which shows the changes - RC1 as RC and IHE as Study Center. Alternatively, check your profile in Samarth/IGNOU main dashboard for the update.
Process for changing name in IGNOU (contributed by Lavina '23 batch IHE)

DD of Rs. 500 in favor of IGNOU
Don't forget to collect your acknowledgement receipt
You can submit your assignment with your previous name. In the degree and marksheet name would be changed. Keep the receipt for exam purposes
All requirements are exactly the same for PGDCFT and MSCCFT 1st Year.
Read the programme guide properly to understand the programme.
Course is not recognised by RCI
As a university IGNOU doesn’t need recognition from anyone as it is established by law. Current status of UGC recognition of the course is unclear as the last approval letter seems to have expired.
Officially: you can enrol for MSc CFT only after your grade card shows that you have completed everything.
Alternate perspective: contributed by Ms. Garg (PGDCFT '22-'23): You just need to attach a screenshot of the grade card with the term-end (theory) exam marks included.
There is no admission for MSCCFT/PGDCFT in December.
You may 'exit' after your first year is complete. You will get a PGDCFT certificate.
Remember: Don't pay second year fees or re-register.
While it is impossible to develop knowledge equivalent to an entire degree in a week or even a month, there’s a Free Crash Course comprising of 40 excellent videos of about ~10 mins each.
The videos are very well made, close to real science with a reasonably broad coverage.
PS: Considering they’re made for native English speakers, you might find them fast - you can slow them down using the settings.
